The 991.1 Turbo was the first 911 to blend variable-geometry turbos with a chassis rigid enough to shrug off 200-mph Autobahn runs. Great as it is, the factory package was drawn for a worldwide rule-book—noise, emissions, conservative alignment, everyday brake pads.

Track-Ready Suspension Upgrades

Suspension is the foundation for that change, which is why most owners start with a suspension package for 991.1 Turbo or a suspension package for Turbo S. The 991 platform uses a MacPherson-strut front with lower control arms and a compact multi-link rear—light, efficient, and an excellent base for geometry work. Opening the window for camber, caster, and toe lets you run an alignment that protects outer shoulders and stabilizes the car under heavy braking and curb strikes. Precision lower control arm solutions with shims give you repeatable camber targets; extended-length tie rods for Turbo and Turbo S maintain safe engagement when you add negative camber; adjustable tension arms let you set caster accurately so initial turn-in feels honest; matched rear control arms help the car put power down without wandering as bushings heat up. The goal isn’t harshness—it’s geometry that holds, steering that loads progressively, and tire wear that looks like you planned it.

Dundon Motorsports Extended Length Titanium Tie Rod End Set

When dialing in a track setup on modern GT Porsches, increasing negative camber is a great way to improve front grip and extend tire life. However, the stock tie rods limit how much camber is possible. Dundon Motorsports' Titanium Extended Length Tie Rod ends offer adjustable rods with extended length threads to allow for a more aggressive track alignment without the risk of too-little threads attaching to the steering rack. 

 

Titanium rod construction keeps unsprung weight down to improve steering feel and performance. We also use high-quality rod-ends, ARP high-strength bolts and spherical bearings paired with a 2-bolt titanium pinch clamp for easy install and adjustment.

Dundon + HYTORC = Game Changer! Swap wheels on your center-lock equipped Porsche (or non-Porsche, for that matter) without any other tools (or people)! 

 

A couple of key details that set this apart from other manufacturers:

  • This is the same method the factory uses to install and torque your centerlocks during assembly.  Including carbon wheel turbo S exclusives.
  • This is NOT an Impact Gun. Why does that matter? An Impact gun delivers high torque with hammer-like blows. An Impact Gun does not deliver a measured torque value. It hammers the fastener on “hard” without any accuracy. Impact guns are strictly prohibited from being used on Porsche road car center-lock nuts, as they can damage the nuts/threads.
  • The HYTORC LION (Lithium Ion) is a precision electric bolting system. It is pre-programmed with software specific to Porsche applications and provides smooth, precise torque application. No 6-foot torque wrench or torque multiplier needed!
  • Comes with a bespoke lever arm to keep the wheel in place during removal and installation of the lug nut. This removes any need for holding the brake pedal/steering wheel, making one-person wheel changes quick and easy!
  • The LION Gun can be manually operated to applications up to 700 ft-lbs.
  • Uses stock lug nuts and socket.
  • Use for Cup Center locks with a ¾“ to 1” socket adapter,  the gun torques in both directions!
