While absolute numbers are great, where things count for aero isn't 200mph numbers but 80-120mph numbers as this is generally the speed you are trying to turn the car and want your 911's aerodynamics to really help you. This is a chart of the performance of our Valkyrie Wing. Let's explain a few terms
Down Force - The amount of force a aerodynamic device “pushes down” on the car
Drag - The amount of force pulling back on the car due to the inefficiency of the downforce production.
L/D - The ratio of the Downforce (lift) to Drag to understand the efficiency of the downforce created.
AoA - Angle of Attack or Degree of the wing notated by the “*” in the below graph.
Speed - Speed of the car in mph. Keep in mind here that 200mph numbers are neat but in reality not reasonable as when have you tried to turn the car at 200mph…
First things first. Here's the simplest explanation of the benefits
- Valkyrie at 4*, we see 165% more downforce and ZERO increase in drag at 100mph than the Stock wing at Max (12*) Angle of Attack
